A Tarot deck is comprised of 78 Cards; those cards are divided into two types. The Major Arcana has 22 cards, and the Minor has 56 cards. The Major Arcana are more familiar to most people as you may have seen some of these cards in movies or television; the death card would be the most typical. The cards are asked a specific question, then selected and laid out in a particular spread. Spreads vary in position and focus. The cards then relate to the placement for the reading.
The answer is NO. The Tarot is a bit magical, though; I have often surprised my clients and myself with the results of a read. Tarot is best used as a guide, a new perspective per se. For example, if your question is should I change jobs, the Tarot will most likely tell you that you have the decision to make and will point out obstacles or benefits to making a change. We all have free will, so you will make the final decision no matter what the Tarot says. I am just the reader, although I do read classically and intuitively.
Card spreads in Tarot are a specific placement of the cards. Therefore, those positions are related to a relative answer. For example, in a Celtic Cross spread comprised of 10 basic cards, the first two positions are a more profound definition of the question. For instance, if I asked the cards will I meet the love of my life, the first two cards might describe you feeling alone or tired of your current relationship. I use many types of spreads; some are relative to the questions being asked. We can discuss this at the time of your reading.
Chakras are our personal energy stores. I subscribe to the theory of 7 chakras: the Crown, the Brow, the Throat, the Heart, the Solar Plexus, the Sacral, and the Root. I am sure you have heard people say, “boy, I have to burn off some energy,” or contrary, “my energy is so low today.” Balancing chakras can significantly affect how your body stores and uses energy. Taking energy from the earth and the divine universe and creating a clear path to maximize the power our bodies need and use. Each chakra enhances an element in our physical or mental well-being.
